Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four kids born August 9th, 1976 in Beaumont Puy of Domme. Since a young age, her dentist surgeon parents and her teacher mother encouraged her passion of theater and drama. The passion for theater was the one which trumped her original desire to be the first primatologist. She rose to prominence as a child actress quickly and enjoyed enormous achievement. Prior to beginning the acting profession, Tautou participated in Jeunes Premiers a French talent search TV program which was a part of Canal+ in 1998. The program also awarded her the title of the title of Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou was a member of the church as well as the Institut Catholique de Paris during her youth, however she now dissociates herself from the aforementioned societal influences. Modeling and acting are interspersed. She became the face for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is often referred to as the Chanel Muse. An avid photographer, she created a show in The Arles International Festival that was titled Superficial. Her work is focused on celebrities as well as the fame. It also features a series self-portraits and a special focus on journalists who have been watching Tautou's career since her dramatic rise in stardom following Amelie. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and stardom with her major role in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie received international recognition because of its box-office success. It was also praised at awards ceremonies across the world. It is the most successful French language film to date in the US. The following year, she appeared in British dramas, including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet's The long day of the fiancailles. After that, Tautou went to Hollywood where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
