Keerthy SURESH (born 17th October, 1992) is an acclaimed Indian actor. Keerthy appears in Tamil film and Telugu films as well as a couple of Malayalam. The actress was honoured with an award called the National Film Award as Best Actress in 2018 because of her performance as actress Savitri and her role in the Telugu movie Mahanati. She has also won three SIIMA Awards as well as the Filmfare Award South. Keerthy Kumar is the child of producer of film G. Suresh Kumar, and actor Menaka G. Suresh. Her professional career started in the early 2000s when she was a child actor. She returned to the film industry after studying the field of fashion. In 2013, she played the lead in Geethaanjali an Malayalam film. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy made her debut on Tamil projects in 2015 and began accepting projects out of Malayalam. She released her first film, A. L. Vijay's romance comedy Idhu Enna Maayam, in 2015. The film was starring Vikram Prbhu. The film was not a success at the box-office. It was necessary to withdraw of a variety of projects she was already involved in during 2015, including Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye and Deekay's Kavalai Vedam to make room for bigger projects. The actress was in two films in rapid succession together with Sivakarthikeyan, Rajini Murugan & Remo. Dhanush was also an actor of note on Prabhu's Thodari. While the date for release of Janakitho Nenu has not been announced, it is reported that it could release in September 2020. Subsequently, the debut was the 2016 film Nenu Sailaja which starred the actor Ram Pothineni. Keerthy was the lead actress alongside Vijay in Bairavaa by Bharathan the film, which debuted on 17 January 2017.
